Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our glass railings, shipping, installation, warranty, and more.

Order & Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Orders ship from our Pompano Beach, Florida warehouse. Same-week delivery across South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach) and typically 3–7 business days for the rest of the country. Custom-cut glass adds a few days of production — the configurator shows your estimated lead time before you order.

Is shipping really free?

Yes — shipping is 100% free on orders of $999 and up, anywhere in the United States. No hidden fees, no fuel surcharges: the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Can I track my order?

Yes. As soon as your order ships you receive an email with the carrier tracking number, and you can follow your delivery at any time from your account or our order tracking page. Glass panels ship on a pallet by freight carrier; the carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery window.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Every payment is processed over a secure, encrypted (SSL) connection. Approved contractors and dealers can also pay by ACH or wire transfer.

Do you accept commercial / bulk orders?

Absolutely. For commercial projects (20+ panels), condos, hotels or multi-unit developments, contact us at (954) 953-5870 or info@dhnglass.com. We offer volume pricing, dedicated support and delivery scheduling to match your job site.

Products

What glass thickness do you use?

All standard panels are 1/2" (12 mm) tempered safety glass. Our glass doors use 5/16" (8 mm) tempered glass. Tempered glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than standard annealed glass and, if it ever breaks, shatters into small blunt pieces rather than sharp shards.

Are your products code-compliant in Florida?

Our panels are fully tempered safety glass, manufactured to the ASTM C1048 tempering standard and the safety-glazing requirements of ANSI Z97.1 / CPSC 16 CFR 1201 that the Florida Building Code references for glass in guards and railings. Our spigots and clamps are 2205 duplex stainless steel, a marine-grade alloy chosen for coastal, salt-air environments. Always confirm final requirements (height, spacing, wind load) with your local building department — we are happy to provide product specifications for your permit application.

What is the warranty on your products?

10 years on the tempered glass, 10 years against corrosion on 2205 duplex stainless steel hardware, and 5 years on aluminum finishes. Warranty is honored directly by DHN Glass, without intermediaries.

Do you offer different hardware finishes?

Three finishes are available: matte black, brushed stainless and polished stainless. All spigots and clamps are 2205 duplex stainless steel — the right choice for pool decks and oceanfront balconies.

What is a "5-pound spigot"?

It is our heavy-duty option: a spigot machined from a solid 5-pound block of 2205 duplex stainless steel (versus roughly 2 pounds for a standard spigot). More rigid and more durable — ideal for high-wind coastal areas, rooftops and commercial projects.

Installation

Can I install the railing myself?

Yes. Most of our customers install their railing themselves. We provide detailed step-by-step instructions and a video tutorial. Plan on 4–6 hours for about 24 linear feet with two people. Depending on your county, a permit may be required for guardrails and pool barriers — check with your local building department before you start.

What tools are needed?

Basic tools only: a hammer drill, a level, a tape measure and an Allen key (included). For concrete or pavers you will need masonry bits; for wood decks, standard wood bits.

Do you offer an installation service?

We are a supplier, not an installer, but we work with a network of independent, licensed installers across South Florida. Contact us and we will gladly refer you at no charge — or use our Find a Dealer page.

On what surfaces can it be installed?

Concrete (4" thick or more), pavers on a concrete base, wood (composite or pressure-treated in good condition), metal and stone. We offer a mounting system for each surface type: core-drilled, base-plate (surface-mounted) or side-mounted (fascia).

What if a part arrives damaged?

We replace any part damaged in transit free of charge, and fast. Take photos on delivery and contact us within 48 hours.

Customization

Do you do custom orders?

Yes. Our 2D configurator lets you design a custom project in minutes: lengths, heights, stairs, corners. For unusual dimensions or shapes, contact us and we will quote it.

What heights are available?

Standard panel heights: 34", 40" and 46". Custom heights up to 60" are available (commercial option). In Florida, guards are generally required at 36" minimum for residential and 42" for commercial applications, and residential pool barriers must be at least 48" high under the Florida Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act. Panel height plus spigot height determines your finished guard height — our configurator shows it for you.

What panel widths are available?

Standard panels from 4" to 84" in 1" increments — very flexible. Drilled panels (for gates and doors): 24" to 60" in 2" increments.

Can you do staircases?

Yes. Two options: (1) stepped mode — one panel per step, or (2) custom-cut mode — one large raked panel following the angle of the stair. Both are configurable in the configurator.

Can handrails be added?

Yes, as an option. Four finishes: black or silver aluminum, brushed or polished stainless. Priced per linear foot and configurable in the configurator.

Account & Partners

Do I need an account to order?

No. You can check out as a guest in about 2 minutes. An account is optional and is only used to track your orders and save your configurator projects.
